14A Bench in September of 1999 and served as Chief Judge of the 14A
District Court from January 2002 through December 2007. He currently
presides over the 14A-1 District Court located at the Washtenaw County

Transcripts
A letter is needed from the attorney making the request containing the Case Name and Number, date for completion of transcription, and date and type of hearing requested. Filing a Motion
If you need to file a motion, you must file a copy with the 14A-1 Clerk's office in person or by fax to (734) 973-4693. You must also file a judges copy electronically. Instructions
Adjournment Policy
All adjournments must comply at a minimum with The 14A Caseflow Management Plan Unless otherwise noted below and must be filed with the court at least 48 hours prior to hearing. Click here for complete 14A Caseflow Plan.
In civil matters one request for a three week adjournment can be made by stipulation and order for adjournment. Second or subsequent adjournment of any proceeding are at the sole discretion of the Judge. Requests should be faxed to the 14A-1 Clerk's office (734) 973-4693.
In criminal matters one request for adjournment will be granted by stipulation and order. No adjournment will be granted for any period exceeding 10 days except on a showing of good cause. Second or subsequent adjournment of any proceeding are at the sole discretion of the Judge. Any request for an adjournment NOT filed 48 hours prior to the hearing date is required to be done on the record with all parties present.
