The 14A District Court presides over the following matters within its
jurisdiction: General Civil, Small Claims, Landlord-Tenant, Criminal, Domestic
Violence, and Civil Infractions.
Civil Jurisdiction includes:
- General Civil matters with claims up to $25,000
- Landlord-Tenant matters with claims up to $25,000
- Small Claims matters with claims up to $3,000
Note: You can file a civil claim in the District Court where the defendant resides, or where the alleged action occured.
